Gravity Crash and Total War developers score new odd and large projects

Over the past week, two separate occasions of notable developers announcing ambitious new projects have popped up. The team behind Gravity Crash is being tasked with bringing back the long-dormant Oddworld franchise, while the developers of Total War are working with Sega on the publisher`s largest-budget U.S. development ever.

Just Add Water has been working with Oddworld Inhabitants over the last year on a project that Just Add Water claims will include “all of your favourite Oddworld characters.” Just Add Water was formed in 2008 and has developed Gravity Crash for the PlayStation 3. In addition to the recent Oddworld Inhabitants collaboration, Just Add Water revealed another project today on the PlayStation Blog, as the company will be bringing Gravity Crash to the PlayStation Portable.

The next project for Total War developer The Creative Assembly is a bit more mysterious, as the company`s latest blog has only shed a few details on the developer`s next collaboration with Sega. While The Creative Assembly has created the PC real-time strategy Total War series and a handful of console action titles for Sega, the next project`s name and genre are a mystery. What is known is that the game will be coming to consoles and that the game will command largest budget ever dedicated to a non-Japanese game. According to the post, the game is still in the prototyping stage.

Which of these two very different projects are you looking forward to more?
